I’ve always struggled with my weight. The bulk of my weight went on during university. Living off potato waffles, chips, kebabs and beer! Before uni I was very sporty and in various sports teams so I was able to eat bigger potions- I needed to. But I stopped the exercise and carried on eating the big portions....
I’ve had many failed attempts at weight loss. I’d lose a stone and fall off the wagon and not get back on. However a few changes have happened in the past couple of years. I’ve been Veggie/Vegan for the past 4 years. I never thought I would be (as I was a massive meat lover) but watching Earthlings changed me overnight. So all of my recipes will be veggie and a big majority vegan.
April 2014 I turn 30. This year I need to make changes. I've already quit smoking (yay) and now I need to get my body healthy. We are entering the phase that we are starting to think about having kids and I won't be an unhealthy parent. I want to be able to run and play with my children. Oh and I don't even know if i'll be able to have kids yet- so I need to get baby ready!
I'm a spiritual person- I love meditation, yoga, crystals and all that jazz so expect some of that woo woo stuff :D
My overall main goal is to lose 8 stone- WOW that's a lot. I don't really want to think of that number all the time as it's just to overwhelming. So my first big goal is to lose 4 stone by the end of 2014. I'mm trying to set goals that are achievable. I'm also going to make some mini goals which i'll cover in a blog post.
So join me on this journey, it’s going to be a long one as I have a lot to lose. I could do with some friends to support me :)
